Alison Wheeler has been part of the team at Hearnden Associates since 2001 and works for the company three days a week. She provides support for our investment, savings and pension business, with duties including the production of reports and handling of telephone enquiries. When not at work Alison's second home is the local health club where she enjoys keeping fit with various exercise classes and the gym. She also enjoys decorating and maintaining the family home and garden.
Claire Peverley joined us in 2003 and is our Accounts Manager. Her duties include fee analysis, company payroll and maintaining the company accounts. Claire also provides our clients with a similar facility including tax returns, bookkeeping, payroll and VAT services. Claire spends most of her spare time with her family; husband and three daughters as well as looking after her father. When she can, Claire escapes to the gym, getting involved in as many studio classes as she can.
Gemma Nottingham has been with the company for sixteen years and has completed all her mortgage and equity release qualifications. She is a mortgage adviser and our office manager. She is responsible for overseeing the administration team. Gemma manages the administration of our mortgage and insurance business. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and his son Zac.
Joanne Caddamy joined Hearnden Associates in 2015 after a career break from the financial services industry. Joanne passed her mortgage exams including equity release in 2019, adding to her existing financial qualifications. During the three days a week she works, Joanne is responsible for ensuring all mortgage applications are processed as efficiently as possible. She liaises with lenders and clients to obtain mortgage offers and then continues to monitor their progress through to completion. In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dog and baking.
Following a career break with her children, Karen Smith-Halvorsen returned to Hearnden Associates in 2013 and is responsible for submitting new business applications for mortgages and general insurance. Karen attained her mortgage qualifications in a past life as a mortgage adviser and personal banker and has also worked as an estate agent so is familiar with all areas of the house buying process. More recently, Karen completed her equity release qualification. Karen works part-time and, when not juggling the demands of a busy family life, she enjoys catching up with friends or exploring the beautiful Surrey countryside with her dog.
Emma Holder has been with the company since 2001, although she had some time off for good behaviour in the middle and is now semi-retired. Emma is our Client Liaison Manager and her current role is best described as ad hoc. She assists with the quarterly portfolio rebalance, as well as providing support to whoever needs it whether in a training capacity or holiday cover or helping our clients. When not at work Emma now has plenty of time to tend her garden and spend time with family and friends.
Harry Cox, APFS, Chartered Financial Planner, joined in September 2015 as our first ever apprentice. Harry passed his apprenticeship in early 2019 with a distinction in paraplanning. He continued his training and is now a fully qualified financial adviser as well as being one of the country’s youngest Chartered Financial Planners. Harry is starting to advise clients whilst jointly managing the investment administration team and is involved in all aspects of our investment process with a focus on our pensions business. Outside work, Harry is a talented footballer and an aspiring cook off the pitch.
Chris Isaac, Dip PFS, originally joined the company in October 2016 and is back with us after a successful year working in Sydney, Australia. He has a Masters in Economics from the University of Manchester and subsequently completed his Diploma in Financial Services, earning an award from the Sussex Chartered Insurance Institute for the best completed Diploma in the region for the year 2017/18. He is involved with the pension and investment side of the business with a focus on the income portfolios and pension transfers. Having been friends with Harry Cox since childhood they bring their own brand of banter to the offices of Hearnden Associates. When not at work Chris is a talented footballer and self-proclaimed foodie!
Moira Martin is the face of Hearnden Associates and has been greeting clients and answering your calls since joining us in the Spring of 2018. Due to the nature of her role she assists with everything from opening the post and monitoring our emails to assisting the investment and mortgage teams with administrative tasks. Outside work, Moira enjoys membership of the local gym and spending time on the south coast.
Brittany Wheeler joined Hearnden Associates permanently in 2018 after working with us for the past five years during school and university holidays. Brittany graduated from the University of Birmingham with a first-class honours degree in Economics. She is involved in the pension, investment and tax side of the business including pension transfers and is part of the investment process team. Brittany jointly manages the investment administration team and is currently training to be a qualified financial adviser, having passed her mortgage exams in late 2020. When Brittany is not in the office, she enjoys yoga, painting and travelling.
Patricia Ormiston Stables is our Later Life Manager. As well as being part of the investment team she is responsible for our later life services: She delivers our will writing service and prepares lasting power of attorney paperwork. Patricia is also involved with death claims, aiming to provide sensitive and helpful support when our clients need it most. Outside work, Patricia enjoys spending time with her family and pets, and taking the campervan to remote and beautiful places in the UK and France.
Deanne Jones is our Practice Manager and is involved with much of the non-advisory aspects of the company including compliance and regulatory matters. She also deals with the accounts for Hearnden Associates and prepares accounts and submits tax returns for our clients.
Ethan Nunns has been part of the team since summer 2019 after graduating from University of Chester with a 2:1 in Economics. He is putting his degree to good use by assisting the investment team with the many tasks involved in providing financial advice to our clients. When not at work Ethan enjoys playing football with his friends.
Lizzie Irving joined us just weeks before lockdown in March 2020. She is new to the world of commerce having previously worked in hospitality and will be putting her customer services skills to good use by supporting both the investment and mortgage teams. When not at work Lizzie is kept busy running around after her toddler and planning her dream wedding with her fiancé.
Libby Lawrence started with Hearnden Associates during the summer of 2020. She trained, socially distanced, at the home (and garden) of our mortgage manager. Libby comes from a financial background but is new to the world of independent financial services. She is involved in assisting the mortgage and investment teams. When not at work Libby likes to spend time with her family and friends eating delicious food.
Charlie Cooper is the newest member of the team, having joined us in September 2020 after working for Fidelity International for three and a half years. Charlie is recently engaged, enjoys playing guitar and bass as well as attending West Ham United FC games (for some reason?!). He also volunteers for local charity A Band Of Brothers.
